Open Letter to Governor Bill Lee

Now more than ever, we need to expand Medicaid and bring home our federal tax dollars to help our friends, family, and neighbors make it through this COVID-19 pandemic.

By expanding Medicaid, we’ll bring $3.8 million per day into our communities. That’s money to provide health insurance for over 300,000 Tennesseans, critical funding for our rural hospitals, and financial security for all of us that need emergency COVID-19 testing and treatment.

Medicaid expansion comes with no new infrastructure needed, no new federal oversight, and no new taxes. It’s healthcare money just waiting to come home to Tennessee.

With the worst of the virus still to come, we can no longer afford to do nothing. It’s time for our elected leaders to act.

Governor Lee – it’s time to put politics aside. Act now to expand Medicaid. It’ll save the lives of countless Tennesseans across our state.
